What role do virtual bodies and avatars play at the moment. Instagram Filter, digital doubles in Hollywood and Deepfakes. Our world is filled with avatars and artificial entities that no longer have much to do with characters from computer games.
In my thesis I give an overview of the origin and evolution of these new bodies and try to support an understanding of current phenomens like virtual influencers and face filters.

The practical part of my work was concerned with the creation of various digital copies of myself.
As a physical object a Dakimakura was made which was printed with my digital copy.
The results were also collected in a booklet.
